Who Can Benefit from an NWS Water Conserving Program?

School Districts
These represent some of the best opportunities for water conservation. Most school districts are burdened with antiquated plumbing equipment, infrastructure and fixtures. In addition, many districts have little to no money to upgrade their facilities.

Hospitals
This is a huge market for water conservation services. Controlling costs in this market is the name of the game. Water use categories are diverse and water consuming fixtures are in nearly every room in hospitals with opportunities to conserve everywhere.

Colleges and Universities
Facilities of higher learning represent significant opportunities in many different categories of water efficiency. In a typical college or university setting, the density of users, combined with the high water use usually makes for an attractive payback.

Federal and State Governments
Government facilities represent a tremendous opportunity for conserving water. On the Federal side, an Executive Order has directed that all facilities must reduce consumption in both energy and water. State Government facilities are looking for ways to reduce overhead and promote conservation.

Housing Authorities/HUD & Multi-Family Housing
Public housing has a massive need for water conservation retrofit services. Water is used intensively in any type of multi-family housing, and public housing is the most densely populated, therefore offering the greatest potential in this market. The multi-family market is constantly on the look-out to reduce costs, and one easy, direct way is to install more efficient fixtures.

Commercial and Industrial
To our knowledge, very little effort for water conservation has been concentrated in this area. Each industry obviously will have diverse applications and processes that use water.
