SAN DIEGO, March 25, 2010 – National Water Services, Inc. (NWS) reached an important milestone this month by helping its clients surpass a combined total savings of more than One Billion Gallons of Water.
This milestone represents a culmination of more than a decade of developing water conservation programs and providing water saving opportunities to Energy Service Companies, military installations, government agencies, colleges and universities, corporations, school districts, and housing authorities. Over the years, NWS’ experts have completed more than 75 large-scale water conservation projects.
As a matter of perspective, one billion gallons of water is enough to fill approximately 1,000 swimming pools the size of football fields that are each 10 feet deep. A billion gallons would also be enough water to fill approximately 20 million average-size bath tubs.
In additional to the environmental benefits gained from this huge amount of water savings, NWS’ clients also saved more than $6 million in water, sewer and energy costs.
