New Woman-Owned Business Rule to Expand Access to Federal Contracting Opportunities
SEPTEMBER 2011 - The Small Business Administration recently implemented a new women-owned small business (WOSB) contracting program that will provide WOSB with greater access to federal contracts. This new program targets 83 industries in which WOSBs are under-represented in the federal contract marketplace. Now all work performed by NWS on federal projects will fall under the statutory goals of this program and can help prime contractors when competing for federal contracts.
